Go Better Women's Group

In October, 2011, Light and Love Home established the Go Better Women's Group. Many mothers in our Saturday class students have registered as members. Each gathering is especially designed for the busy moms.Things we did included wholesale price fresh produce sale, idea exchange on raising children, aerobic dance, stretching exercise, dinner gathering, etc. These activities not only help our members relax a little from the hustle and bustle in life, but also cheer them on along the way. The benefits they gain also become a blessing to their own families.

Senior Services Expand!

A New Stage in Senior Services

Our services to the seniors have expanded! Starting from April, we have been providing services for two more senior buildings, namely Maclean Building and Chinese Freemason’s Manor. Our first welcoming party alone had over 50 seniors participating. Many of them expressed their gratitude for our visit, some already asking about out next visit. Apart from our one-time big program, we have arranged regular haircut service and exercise class. We hope these services will cater to the seniors’ needs and bring them some warmth.

Burnaby Mountain Picnic

Since April, we have organized picnics for seniors from different buildings. Total participants exceeded 50. We arranged car ride for them so that they could easily enjoy the nature. We had pot-luck lunch, group games and photo time. Through all these activities, they showed their lively and active side.
