Over 200 participants joyfully celebrated Lunar New Year with us on January 29, 2017! Aside from enjoying traditional Chinese festive foods, games, and talented performances, our guests also took part in the new year cooking workshop and were courteously served at the Hong Kong-style caf.
At the new year cooking workshop, guests learned how to make Chinese dessert items such as rice balls, dumplings, and radish cakes and the volunteers were delighted to help and try new things. They even enjoyed their own cooking!
The busy and vibrant Hong Kong-style caf was filled with a festive atmosphere. Patrons were proud to be served by cheerful and fun-loving kids who took the initiative to be involved and courteously attended to their requests. They also enjoyed meeting new people and chatted over delicious snacks and drinks.
